I love the seasons and what each one brings; the colours, smells, light. I particularly notice the changes out on my early morning dog walks.
Today I was out with the sunrise and it was a lovely cool morning. I could just see the sun through the fog looking ethereal giving the landscape a mysterious, tranquil feel. There are signs of Autumn on the trees and there is a distinct lack of colour other than green and the recently ploughed fields. The burdock looks forlorn, but the trees are ladened with fruit and nuts. I've already picked the brambles and made a few pies and a particularly delicious bramble drizzle cake! I'm now waiting for the sloe berries to ripen a bit more and I shall be out picking for my sloe gin mmm!
